My First Week of College

It's been 1 week since I started college. It has been a little overwhelming, but I'm really starting to get the hang of things! Can't wait to see what the rest of my college experience as well as IS101 will be like! I am currently pursing an associates degree in computer science. I ideally want to transfer the credits from CSN to UNLV after receiving my Associate of Arts in Computer Science.

One thing that I want to get the hang of is organization. I'm beginning to realize how much organization and making a strict schedule will help with my future college experience. I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos which I use as reference to help with organizing my studying as well as organizing meetings with my friends and when I have classes.

  1. Very glad to hear you getting the hang of things for college :-)

Yes, organization is a key first step! One cannot focus well and be the best as one can be if one has to deal unorganized chaos.

    Welcome to IS101-3003, Fall 2023, Manassiya ^_^

  3. Organization and planning is very important in all aspects of life. It can make you stand out when people see you as a detail-oriented person. You are smart for taking CSN classes for your associates, since this will save a lot of money. Make the most of it and take advantage of your time at CSN. Best of luck!

  10. I have a similar degree plan to you Manassiya and plan on transferring to UNLV as well. I know it seems overwhelming right now but we'll get through it. You'll be graduating from UNLV before you know it! Great post, I also love your background!

  11. Good afternoon! It's always fun to know other people taking the same path as you. I'm planning on going to UNLV for Computer Science as well but I am taking a Computing and Information Technology degree here at CSN before I select UNLV for CS. I was also taking the Associate of Arts as recommended by the counselor but I changed my mind last semester.

  16. Congratulations on starting college. What a great observation to make note of early on in your journey - the need to stay organized. I agree with you that organization is essential, and creating a routine that you feel good about is one way to hold yourself accountable as it creates dedicated time and space for your studes. I'm sure you (if not already) will get the hang of it soon.
